Company history

The story begins many moons ago with a young boy and his passion for papers. Having grown up in his father’s newsagents delivering papers in the rain, wind or shine- you name it he’s done it! With what started out as a blurred vision, Niall McHale, the company director envisioned creating an exciting innovative company. The dream became a reality when in December 1999 Newstime UK Ltd was born.

In our early years Newstime initially focused on delivering newspapers and business journals around the Yorkshire region. As a business-to-business establishment, having got our feet on the ground, in 2007 we expanded our product range to include milk. Come on let’s face it, who doesn’t crave a good cuppa’ Yorkshire tea upon entering the office first thing in the morning?

After a few years of solely delivering milk, in 2009, we further expanded our product range to include kitchen consumables. This consisted of anything ranging from tea, coffee, sugar, cleaning products and of course the ultimate office essential, the beloved biscuit tin!
